Open To Opportunities
All throughout high school, I attended a small private christian academy. In my graduating class, there were three of us. We were the first graduating class. I never had thought about attending a private Christian university. However, that is what God had planned. Here I am now in what will soon be my third year at Dallas Baptist University. In my years here, I have come to find that sometimes life is going to be unexpected, but ultimately God's plan will be done. I am so thankful that I was open to trying this new adventure on my own. I was terrified of moving and even more scared to meet new people. I can honestly say that today, reminded me of just how truly blessed I am to be here. Attending DBU, we are required to attend chapel services. This morning our service began with some of the best worship we have had this semester and I felt completely set apart from everyone else in the chapel. My desire and passion to serve God and follow His will captivated my heart this morning. One of the songs that we sang this morning had a verse in it that says " Christ is enough for me, Christ is enough for me, EVERYTHING I need is in you." These words confirm that no matter what decisions we face in life whether good or bad, God is with us and if we look to Him, we can find what we are truly in need of. I encourage you and challenge you to takes one thing from this. Always be open to new opportunities, because you never know how you will be used through them. Be open to change! Change is a scary thing, but we never have to go through it alone.
